Data and Privacy Requests

Use this process to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with a DigitalPlat service, program, or communication. Rights and available responses depend on the responsible entity, the relevant service, applicable law, and the nature of the record.

Identify the responsible entity

• Requests concerning DigitalPlat Domains or another commercial infrastructure service should identify EdgeAlphix LLC.
• Requests concerning a Foundation program, charitable contribution, or Foundation communication should identify DigitalPlat Foundation, Inc.

How to submit a request

Email [email protected] with the subject “Data and Privacy Request.” Include:

• The responsible entity and relevant service or program;
• The type of request: access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection;
• The account identifier, email address, domain, or other information needed to locate the record; and
• Any context that will help distinguish your information from another person's.

Do not email passwords, government identification numbers, payment-card data, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Verification and response

The responsible entity may request reasonable information to verify identity, authority, and ownership of the relevant account or record. Requests will be reviewed and answered within the period required by applicable law. An authorized agent may be required to provide proof of authority.

Limits and retention

A request may be limited or denied where information must be retained or processing is permitted for:

• Security, fraud prevention, abuse response, or incident investigation;
• Financial, tax, charitable-contribution, or other required recordkeeping;
• Compliance with law, legal process, contracts, or the establishment and defense of legal claims;
• Protection of another person's rights and information; or
• Other grounds permitted by applicable law.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from security backups where limited retention is necessary.

External services

Requests concerning information controlled by an external donation processor, registrar, GitHub, or another independent service may need to be submitted directly to that provider under its privacy process.
